About Show more
Carrere & Hastings was one of the premiere Beaux-Arts architectural firms during the early 20th century. Composed of John Merven Carrere and Thomas Hastings, both men were educated at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, and worked under McKim, Meade and White. They formed a partnership in 1885, which lead to an abundance of important commissions until 1911, when Carrere was killed in a car accident.
