About Show more

Eric Boyer has been creating sculptures creating sculptures using wire mesh over 20 years after first using the material to build fireplace screens. In 1985, he was employed at a metal workshop where he learned to forge, weld, and fabricate. His first exhibition in 1989 was of almost life-size figures displayed at Art on the Mountain in Wilmington, VT. In the 90s, Boyer began to receive commissions to create installations worldwide, in health care, corporate, and hospitality settings. He feels that this new setting stands out as uniquely exciting—providing a variety of vantage points, natural lighting, and an architectural dynamic that complements the abstract forms of the mesh vessels.
