An architect, author, and filmmaker, and the principal of James Sanders + Associates design & research studio, who has garnered a Guggenheim Fellowship and Emmy Award for his work.  His landmark study on the city and film, Celluloid Skyline (Knopf, 2001), was hailed by Jane Jacobs as a “marvelous - miraculous - book."
