Description Show more

The distinctive vernacular of Manhattan’s Meat Packing District and the prominence of this site at its southern gateway were catalysts for this building’s design. The 50,000 square foot building, occupied by fashion brand Theory, incorporates much of the historic district’s unique character without sacrificing its singularity and iconic contemporary presence. Typical architectural elements such as metal and brick, factory windows, and long corrugated glass and metal awnings were reinterpreted to produce this distinctly modern building.
